Volume 4 Chapter 4 and Afterword Complete! Volume 4 Finished!!

It is with great joy that I announce the completion of Volume 4 with the posting of Chapter 4 and the Afterword! It took a long time to get to this point, but it’s a relief to finally have that load off my shoulders. The PDF/Epub for Volume 4 will be coming out sometime soon as well. With this, my role in the Fate/Apocrypha is now effectively over, so I bid you all adieu.

…is what I want to say, but since lots of people are clearly antsy for Volume 5 as shown in the many comments and messages I’ve received, I’ll make things clear one last time so that there is no confusion. As I stated many times before, Canon and I originally divided up the volumes between us one at a time, so the plan is for him to do Volume 5 after he completes Volume 3. I know many people feel that will never happen, but he IS still working on translating it, I can assure you. Many people have asked me to do Volume 5, but I don’t intend to change my agreement with Canon, and it’s actually preferable for me this way since I have Fire Girl and other side projects to work on these days that take up my time. Now, if Canon stated that he no longer wishes to translate Volume 5, then yeah, I’d take over and do it instead, but I don’t foresee that happening after having reconfirmed the matter with him recently, so please don’t ask me to translate Volume 5. The matter’s already been settled and it’s up to Canon, not me. I know you guys may not like the wait, but please be patient, Apocrypha will be fully translated eventually.

That’s all I have to say. I hope you all enjoy reading Volume 4 in its entirety and look forward to Volume 5 in anticipation rather than impatience. At the very least, there’s the coming Apocrypha anime in July to keep our spirits up, along with all the other Fate animated projects coming out this year. Here’s to 2017, possibly the greatest ‘Fate Year’ we’re ever had! 😀

Volume 4 Chapter 3 Complete

Sorry for the late posting of Chapter 3, but here it is. (I didn’t plan for it to take this long, but there were some unexpected delays with my editor and more time passed than I’d anticipated.) Anyway, this chapter is pretty short and basically just sets up everything up for the coming final battle, but there were still a few genuinely touching and interesting scenes mixed in. The next and last chapter should be ready for posting sometime by the end of the month. Until then, please enjoy.

Volume 4 Chapter 2 Complete

All right, Chapter 2 has been completely edited and posted on the site. This chapter is a lot lighter than the previous dark and serious Chapter 1, but it still has some important moments for the characters. (The part with Fiore and Caules was especially touching for me.) Anyway, the next chapter should be ready sometime soon as well, so stay tuned for more in the next week or so.

Volume 4 Start! Prologue and Chapter 1 (and Color Illustrations)

Hey guys, long time no see. After more than half a year of silence, I’m happy to announce that I’ve finished translating Volume 4 and will now begin posting it chapter by chapter! Now, to be clear, CanonRap is still in the midst of translating Volume 3 over on his site (you can find a link to it on the Volume 3 page here), but after discussing things with him, we agreed that there’s no point to waiting any further to post it now that the translation is completed. Basically, I’m posting Volume 4 for people who are either aware of what happens in the later volumes or aren’t afraid of spoilers, so I suggest that readers who don’t want to be spoiler wait until Canon finishes Volume 3.

Also, I won’t be posting the whole volume in one go, since I still have to finish adding in the edits to each chapter. Whenever a chapter is completely edited, I’ll post it on the site. For now, the prologue and chapter 1 are posted and ready for reading.

Finally, to make sure there are no misunderstandings, Volume 4 is my last contribution to this project, since Canon will be translating Volume 5 after he finishes Volume 3. This was decided between us near the start, and our agreement still stands, so my part in translating F/A will be finished after Volume 4 is all posted, and this won’t change regardless of any requests. Apocrypha has been a fun series to translate, but I’ll be happy to finally put it to rest after all this time so that I can fully concentrate on Fire Girl.

In any case, it’ll probably take at least a month for me and my editor to finish tidying up the remaining chapters, so stay tuned for the next update soon. Until then, enjoy reading the beginning of Fate/Apocrypha Volume 4: “Cup of Purgatory”.

F/A Material, Ra Section complete! Glossary Complete!!!

At last, the final part of F/A Material’s glossary, the Ra Section, has been completed! With this, I’ll be moving on to translating the other comments and information within the Material book, but that will be posted as part of a full PDF/ePUB with the accompanying images, so there won’t be anymore updates here until I’ve completed finished translating all of F/AN or until it’s time to start posting Volume 4. Until then, I hope you’ll all continue to enjoy reading/watching the various Type Moon works out there. See you then.

F/A Material, Ha, Ma and Ya Sections complete!

All right, this time we have three sections completed (same as last time, the last two were so short that I included them in this update): the Ha-section, Ma-section and Ya-section! Like always, the content varies from serious explanations to comical side-notes, but my favorite this time is definitely the entry on Fuyuki, which I think will get a laugh out of most Fate/Stay Night fans. There’s only one more section left in the glossary, so look forward to the next update!

F/A Material, Ta and Na Sections complete!

The Ta section and Na section are complete! (The second one only had a single entry, so I did it at the same time.) There are a few interesting entries in this update, primarily expanding on the details of the Holy Grail and such, though if you’re looking for a laugh, I suggest looking at the “Trap of Argalia” entry.

F/A Material, Sa Section complete!

Sa section is done and posted! This time, there’s less that stands out since the Servant profiles are already finished, but there’s still some interesting bits of trivia to be found here. At this point, we’re more than halfway through the glossary in terms of content, but there’s still a few juicy entries left, so you guys still have plenty to look forward to. Until next time.

F/A Material, Ka Section complete!

All right, I finally have a new update for Fate/Apocrypha Material with the Ka Section now uploaded to the site, and this time is especially good since the humorous entries are aplenty in this one. (You’ll know them right away when you see them.) Also, the entries for each of the Black Servants are included as well, so there should be plenty of interesting information for you all to read. From here on, each section gets noticeably shorter without the Servant entries taking up so much space, so you can probably expect more updates in the near future. Until then!
